Mr. Cimino called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm.

30 Day Class Switch Policy- Mr. Cimino requested a review of the 30 day Class Switch policy by the committee. The purpose of this policy is to delineate a process a student/parent can follow if a change in schedule is to be requested. Follow-up: Ad hoc committee to draft a policy for review by school staff and counselor.

Community Service Project- JMS achieved second place in the district last year for its conservation efforts. This year the focus will be on recycling. Follow- up: Committee member to work with Mr. Cimino to establish recycling stations throughout the school to be used on designated days.

Grading Reports: Mr. Cimino distributed the 5^th grade report cards which are being piloted by LP Brown and Garfield this school year. The revised reports were developed last year with the collaboration of the 5^th and 6^th grade teachers. The committee discussed how to customize the grade reports at the middle school level using the information that is already entered into the Skyward computer system. Follow-up: Pursue through OSD district office/Tech Support.

The Ad Hoc committee charged with reviewing the 30 Day Class Switch policy held a work meeting after adjournment of the business portion of the Site Council meeting.

The next meeting will be held February 6, 2007.
