The student store continues to be the most profitable fundraiser.  A budget sheet was distributed.  Some items the committee are considering purchasing include a separate sound system for the gym and cafeteria and continuing to support ³Students on Stage².  Follow-up:  Representative from JSSO to attend Site Council on a monthly basis starting in 2007-08.

2007-08 Staff/Schedule Changes- Mr. Cimino discussed the decrease in students expected for next year and the subsequent staffing ramifications.  Because of the lower numbers, 2 current JMS teachers will be cut and a part-time (.4) teacher will be re-hired.

Budget Advisory Committee- Dan Swanson gave an overview of the BAG committee.

Creativity Festival:  Mrs. Rhydolm will be again be organizing this event.  Student original work due by 5/30/07.

Standardized Testing/Placement:  The district is in the process of establishing a placement system for 5th thru 8th graders based on MAPS testing and WASL scores.  These two scores will determine math placement.  This process is meant to be more objective.

Sports Court: Dan and Kathleen volunteered to accompany Mr. Cimino to a district meeting to re-establish efforts for the Sports Court at Jefferson which had been slated to be built the summer of 2006 with levy dollars.  Follow-up: Next meeting.
