Robotics Club

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) introduces middle school students to science and technology in a sporty atmosphere as they work together to solve complex tasks in a creative way. FLL consists of three components: Robot Game, Project, and Core Values. In the Robot Game, teams design, build, and program a robot that completes "missions" on a table-top playing field. In the Project, teams research a real-world problem and are challenged to develop a solution. Core Values are the cornerstone of FLL, and lead to a positive experience among friendly competition. FLL team members experience all steps of a real product development process: solving a problem under time pressure with insufficient resources and unknown competitors. FLL is the only sport where all of the team members can go pro!

Westside Video Workshop

Students interested in learning how to write, direct, and act in a television series will love the Westside Video Workshop, a new program offered after school at Jefferson Middle School.  The WVW will allow students to create their own sitcom over the course of the year.  It will air on KJAG-TV weekly.
