Jefferson Families, 

    Happy weekend! We’ve had a great week at school with students getting settled into their classes for the year. We are working on routines, diving into new content, and practicing intentionality in our community. I’m excited about the steps our Jag Crew is taking into their leadership roles, as well as the 7th and 8th graders who are showing leadership in the ways they engage in their classes and in the school community. 

    Our Jag Time is becoming routine, with both Community Connection and Student Organization Practice on Mondays, and then by Fridays, we have time for Clubs and Community. Check out the great club offerings below, and we’ll have new ones for October! 

   We hope you have a great weekend and come back ready for a positive and productive week on Monday!

MAP testing will take place during Math and English classes. Teachers will communicate with families about testing dates.

Please encourage your student to do their best, take their time, and show what they know! 🐾💜

Our Panorama Survey will be sent to families. Your feedback helps us understand how our students and families are doing and how we can continue improving JMS.

We’re excited to welcome the South Sound YMCA to JMS! The YMCA will be offering services and support for our students throughout the school year.

🎉 Join us for a Welcome Party on September 24 to learn more!

📅 October 20

Picture retakes will be offered on Tuesday, October 20. This is for students who missed picture day or would like a retake.

🍳 Breakfast: $2.85 | 🍕 Lunch: $4.30

⏰ Please complete and return your meal benefit forms ASAP! Forms must be completed each school year by the end of September, even if your student qualified previously.

📋 Forms are available in the JMS office. Meals can be purchased through the OSD Payment Portal or in the JMS office with Ms. Nolan.

📌 Students purchasing lunch use their student ID number. Cash is not accepted in the lunchroom.

Please log in and complete your student’s online health forms and health information as soon as possible.
