Happy Friday, Jefferson Community! It’s ArtsWalk in Olympia, which always marks the start of fall in our city. I hope your family has the opportunity to enjoy this or other fall festivities as we move into October!

This week, we started our October Clubs and Community with a few debut clubs, including Crafting and a Garden Design Club. We’ve also wrapped up our classroom sessions of MAP testing. Next week, students who were absent or who need more time will be provided that opportunity. 

We hope you’ll take a moment to participate in our Panorama survey. Information from that survey will contribute to our reflections and planning for the future, and having as many voices as possible contributing to that data makes it most useful! We appreciate all of the partnership in conversations and as we work together - at home and school - to support each Jaguar in their pursuit of learning, connection, and positive growth this fall!

Jefferson Middle School will participate in The Great ShakeOut, a nationwide earthquake preparedness drill.

Students and staff will practice earthquake safety procedures and review what to do in the event of an earthquake.
