Jag Wire November 6, 2026

      Happy weekend, Jefferson families! We’ve enjoyed some lovely weather this fall, and now we’ve hit our first round of really wet weather which does impact our lunches, Jag Time, and all the transitions to and from school. Please do what you can to support your student in choosing appropriate layers and footwear, and we will support them in getting those layers home every day! Our lost-and-found area at the front of the school has started to gather a few more things, so if something is missing from your child’s wardrobe, have them check! Also, if winter wear is something your family could use help with, please be sure to let us know. 

    We started our November/December Clubs and Community time today. It was a great start! And - for those students who didn’t sign up for anything, we will allow some adjustments to signups next week. Part of our Jag Time system is giving students the agency to make a choice… but that does require an action step on their part, and for several of our students, that is a new practice. 

    Next week, we will have the opportunity to pause as a community and celebrate Veterans Day with family and friends, a speaker from the OSD community, and music presented by our Choir, Orchestra, and Band. We look forward to the Assembly on Tuesday, and will have no school on Wednesday in recognition of Veterans Day. 

   Thank you, families, for all the ways you provide structure and support for students at home. We appreciate you and the opportunity to serve your family for the important work of the middle school years!
