New Library Features Make Students the Story

There's something new in the Jefferson Middle School library.  In fact, there are several new additions to the student resource center.

The biggest change in the library is the addition of the new "Art Wall," which showcases artwork created by 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  All artwork can be submitted for consideration.  Once it is given to the librarian, it may be displayed for the whole school to see and, possibly, featured on KJAG-TV, the morning school news.

In addition to the Art Wall, the JMS library now features an "In the News" board which showcases trending news stories of interest to students.  The "In the News" board is updated frequently and offers resources for students to find out more about the particular subjects featured each week.

Last, but certainly not least, students can also check out the amazing new GloFish displayed in the library's aquarium.  This special breed of fish was donated to the library's aquarium and showcases a variety of fluorescent colors.
